The ‘one-rank one-pension’ (OROP) formula for retired soldiers is under consideration, Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh informed the Lok Sabha today.
In a written reply to
Maj Gen BC Khanduri (Retd.) in the Lok Sabha, Rao assured that the
principle of ‘one-rank one-pension’ for the armed forces had been
accepted by the government.
He said the
modalities for implementation were discussed with various stakeholders.
